Both the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ have USB Type-C (or USB-C) ports for charging the phone. It is a fairly recent connector standard, so old cables will not charge this phone.It’s reversible meaning that you can plug in the USB Type-C cable anyway because either way is up, into the Samsung S8.  It is also Qi Wireless Enabled so it means you can charge the Samsung S8 wirelessly by just placing it on a QI Charger.
